About 1/3 of the products we offer on WindyCityParrot.comare Drop-Shipped. This means when receive an order for a parrot cage or parrot stand we do not stock, we send a purchase order to one of our partner vendors who ships the item directly to you on our behalf.

They send the tracking info to us, we forward it to you. It leaves their facility in the same time frame as it would leave ours.

This benefits you the customer in 2 ways.

1) We can ship the bird cages or accessories to us. Think about it. The shipping charges we pay to bring items into our warehouse must be added to the price of each item.

In many cases, we would have to pay shipping charges twice, once to get the item to us and once to get it to you. By shipping direct from a partner vendor warehouse, you save money by not paying to ship the item twice.

2) We can offer a much larger selection. We get inventory updated from our partner vendors, daily. If it's on their shelf we can offer it to you. We don't have to stock 200 styles of cages in each of 4 or 5 colors. In one category, bird ages and standswe are able to offer the largest selection on the internet - without having to buy all the inventory.
