Each of the cameras comes fitted with six mini infrared diodes that bathe the inside of the birdhouse with invisible infrared light. The Night Owls ™ also come with built in microphone, as well as 100-feet of AV cable, ready to be plugged into the back of your TV, VCR, or computer. And, if you need to put your camera farther than 100 feet from the house, we now have 100 foot extension cables.
Now, there is an easy, affordable way of watching and listening to what goes on inside as well. Our Hawk Eye Color cameras come complete with six infrared diodes that bathe the bird and squirrel house in invisible infrared light. This light, while invisible to Man and beast, is not invisible to the camera, which can now broadcast clear, sharp images to the home television or computer both day and night. By the way, the folks at the Cornell Ornithology Lab say this light in no way interferes with bird or squirrel behavior.
Mounted beneath the roof the bird or squirrel house, the wide angle lens easily covers the entire floor of any of our houses. A depth of focus of one-quarter inch to infinity assures a sharp image of any bird or squirrel house resident . . .and their young. These incredible cameras come with a built in microphone and 100 feet of cable. One hundred foot extension cables are available, if you want to go beyond the original 100 feet.
All this technology is surprisingly easy to use. Both audio and video, as well as power, are carried between camera and TV or computer through a durable ‘plug-n-play’ cable. Simply hang the birdhouse, or mount the Red Robin camera near the feeder or birdbath, run the cord into the house and plug it into the video– and audio-in, RCA ports on the television. On most you just need to turn on the TV to start watching. On some older models you have to go into the television menu and switch the set to ‘monitor’. If your television doesn’t have RCA ports, but you do have a VCR connected to it, you can connect the TV Celeb-Birdies cameras through the ports on the VCR
