Tidy Bird No-Mess Bird Feeder - Small 5" x 4" 5" Brand New!! And oh so useful.

Windy City Parrot Defines Smallest Species BirdsWindy City Parrot Defines Small Species Birds

Got a BIG parrot? Click here for large model
Note: If your bird is larger than a cockatiel the small size Tidy Feeder may be too small for it. The Large model MAY work better but if your bird can get fully inside and into the seed bin it may decide to toss the food out the front (just to be obstinate). Please choose the size that fits best for your bird. These cannot be returned if used, sorry.

Measures" 5" x 4" x 5", with a 1/2" perch, holds almost 3/4 cup food, hooks are 2 1/4" apart. Can be used inside or outside the cage depending where you put the hooks. Hand wash, not recommended for dishwasher.

Eliminates 99% of scattered seeds and hulls, with little or no mess.

Find all enclosed acrylic Feeders hereWhat if my bird won't use it?

Raise the feeder door and remove the original feeder. Hook your new Tidy Seed Feeder inside (placing the hooks on the face of the feeder) or on the outside of your bird's cage (placing the hooks on top as shown in the picture).

Your bird enters Tidy Seed and eats, leaving uneaten seeds and hulls behind the retainers; eliminating clean up.

When necessary, empty the hulls and add fresh seed. You will be pleased with the savings when 99% of the seed and hulls stay in the holder.

If you have small birds (finches to conures), you know the headache of constant cleanup. But, with Tidy Seed, cleanup has come to an end. You'll be amazed when you watch the video and see that Tidy Seed really works! No need to buy a cage skirt. You'll save money on seed that isn't lost or wasted through scatter.

Recommended for Finches, Budgies, Lovebirds, Ringnecks, Small Conures, Cockatiels, Caiques, etc.

What about the comment I sent on the order...that the opening is about 3.5". Will the feeder I ordered fit?

The feeder hooks onto the horizontal over the opening so it should fit unless your feeder door is too low.

The Prevue Clean Life cages have very low feeder doors and attached seed guards to keep the mess inside the cage so they won't fit those cages. It would have to go inside.

But most wire cages have higher feeder doors so it likely won't be a problem.

If you have a large door, you can put the hooks on the back of the feeder and hang it inside the cage facing into the cage and the bird goes into it that way.

Rating Sun Conure mom
we have spent months struggling with Banyan, our sun conure, and his relationship with his food. More food ended up on the floor then in his belly. Just imagine the cost. We tried several other feeders with no luck. This was a game changer. However, it took a lot of ingenuity on our part. We had to out smart Banyan. To make this work with our very clever sun conure we had to implement several clips and wires. Otherwise, he would tip the bowl right pff the cage and climb out. This is a great feeder if you are smarter than yor bird. Wish I could share the pictures.

Rating Cockatiel
The bowl is on the smaller end for Cockatiel's but it works great now that our two birds will use it. It took them a few days to get used to it; we had to put their old food bowl next to it to get them to go near it. Now they have no problems with it other than being fairly small for them. Our female bird used to pace in her food dish and toss seeds everywhere on the floor but not anymore.

I got a couple of these for my ''keets- I don''t mind a mess but I was wasting a lot of seed using cups and dishes that were too deep. This feeder is da bomb! Intuitive design.

Rating solution to my problem
This worked great. My lovebirds for some reason started throwing all the food out of their dish every day. What a mess not to mention I was worried about them being hungry all day. This solved the problem. They always have food now.

Well - at first The clear container was a puzzle since they could "see" the food all the way around, but could only access it from the front. The TS is on the outside of their cage, so stepping into the clear area was like stepping into space. Thanks to Catherine from Windy City, my fears of bird starvation and/or anorexia were allayed and I gained more patience with the process. All's well and Tidy Seed rocks!

Rating Less mess, YES!
It took a day for my 'tiels to warm up to it. Their hunger got the best of them and they would reach their little head in there as faaarrr as they could without actually touching it. It was funny to watch. After a few days they started climbing inside it. Still a little clumsy getting in and out of the perch, because they don't like to back up. They're getting better at it though. I had to buy two because my two tiels liked to bicker over their bowls even though they already had - and there isn't room for two to eat at the same time in one box anyway. I LOVE it!! Pellets aren't shooting everywhere. No more chunks on the floor and surfaces. It's nice that they aren't bickering during dinner time anymore. It's great!

Rating Does not fit my cage
I haven't a complaint about the product...I bought 4 of these feeders. The problem is they do not fit my bird cages. One of the cages is round and the other cage has feeder openings at the very bottom of the cage where there is a rim which prevents the feeder from fitting. When I contacted the seller I was informed that I would have to pay a shipping fee and a restocking fee if I would return the items. I probably will not buy from this seller again but the product seems good.

Awesome, does what it says. Eliminates most of the seed mess. I bought the small feeder for two parakeets. The birds had no problem getting used to the feeder.

Rating bird hated it.
I'm sorry to say my parrot hated it. I had to put material on it, he did not like the way it reflect. He uses it know but only to reach in and grap a seed an come back out. I even tried takeing the material back off to see if he would go in once he knew it wasn't going to hurt him. But it scares him, had to put the material back on. I think they should be made maybe with a tinted plexi glass.

A more appropriate size for my conure. I do also have the large feeder but he kind of uses it as his perch to taunt the cat. Easier to hang than the large size and mounts inside the cage so it doesn't obstruct a feed door.

I have a messy cockatiel and this devise has made my life MUCH easier. We had to vacuum twice a day, now, once a week. The doors on my cage did not allow me to use it on the outside, but it fits through the big front door and I put it on the inside. LOVE THESE!!!

Q: hiCatherine, I would like to purchase this feeder. I will have to put inside the canery's cage which hangs in our dining roommyquestion is: can the hooks be put onthe back of the feeder? sincerely, susie miller
Asked by:  - 4/16/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: Dear Susie

Yes, the feeder can be used inside the cage. There are 2 drilled holes on the other side to put the hooks to hang the feeder inside your cage. Please measure your canary door to be sure you can get it inside the cage to hang it inside.
