Fabric is sturdy, scrub material; soil release, 65% Poly/35% Cotton blend solid poplin in "clinical" colors. Each size is assigned a different color for easy visual identification. Construction is double layer body, wing pocket flaps and straps for the right weight needed plus durability. Main body is top stitched for shape and strength. Hook and loop fastener is stitched with a zig zag stitch with overstitching to prevent seperation from body and strap. Plenty of hook and loop for flexibility. All threads used in construction are durable polyester.

Pet Owners
We do not recommend that owners restrain their own bird. Pet birds can become distrustful of owners when handled this way; some birds forgive, others do not. All good parrot-owner relationships are totally dependent on trust. Pet Bird owners can purchase them for their own birds and bring them along for their visits to the veterinarian and groomer.
The AviStraint can be used by pet owners in the event of an emergency where restraint is necessary. Perfect to keep in your First Aid Kit.
Use it when your bird is being groomed.
When your bird is examined by a veterinarian, request that she or he use the AviStraint to restrain your bird. Get one for your own bird and take it with you when you visit the veterinarian’s office. Ask your veterinarain if s/he carries and uses the AviStraint.
Veterinarians
Use the AviStraint for grooming, performing physical exams, and to restrain for phlebotomy. Also use it post-anesthesia to prevent the wing flapping that sometimes occurs during recovery.
Keep each exam room stocked with plenty of clean AviStraints. However, some clients may want to bring in their own birds' AviStraints. Offer them for sale to your clients, and recommend one for each of their birds to bring along when they visit your office.
Groomers
Use them when grooming birds.

Laundering instructions:
Machine wash in warm water and tumble dry. The use of a laundering bag is recomended. Affix hook to loop to prevent fiber and lint accumulation on the straps and attachments. Use a mild detergent to sanitize appropriately. Store flat or roll.
