The real meaning of
free shipping
Free shipping means
you pay no more for your order to have it shipped to you than the price
stated on a website. When you order anything on the internet that offers
free shipping, the company that you purchase the item(s) from will pay
another company like FedEx or UPS to deliver the order to you.
Fortunately WindyCityParrot.com is in the Midwest. It's fortunate because we
ship a lot of orders to both the east coast & west coast. We factor shipping
based on many packages going to Seattle Washington. Our average order (not
counting cages) is 7 - 10 pounds so the difference in cost to ship to Iowa
versus Oregon is very little. The problem is when the boxes start weight 20
pounds or more.
This list is based on FedEx
zones which are almost identical to UPS zones

Now with zone shipping, customers in the Midwest save more than 15% over
our old "one-price-fits-all" built in free shipping prices.
