Feeding Directions: Birds may eat all they want. Avoid
waste and powdering. Amounts will vary depending on
birds' energy needs. Feed fresh food daily, with
separate access to water to prevent dunking.
For Best Results: It is NOT necessary or
recommended to supplement with vitamins or other bird
or animal food products. Restrict any supplemented
organic fruit and vegetables to dark yellow meaty or
dark green leafy items such as sweet potatoes, carrots,
pumpkin, winter squash, broccoli, parsley, spinach,
mango or papaya. [For birds with suspected ironstorage
disease: Avoid citrus fruits, tomatoes, kiwi,
strawberries and other foods containing vitamin C.
Avoid grapes, currants, raisins, liver, red meat, egg yolk
or dark green vegetables such as spinach, which may
contain high levels of iron.]

Guaranteed Analysis: Crude protein (min.) 15%, crude
fat (min.) 5.5%, crude fiber (max.) 6.5%, moisture
(max.) 10%.

Consult with an avian veterinarian before any diet change and annually thereafter.
High Potency Formulas: Birds converting to Harrison's
from a seed diet, recovering from illness, molting or
under 6 - 8 months of age should start out and remain
on the High Potency formulas for a period of at least six
months. Breeding birds should switch to High Potency 1-
2 months prior to breeding period. Some birds (greenwinged
macaws, hyacinth macaws, Queen of Bavaria
conures, Moluccan cockatoos and African greys) do
best on High Potency year round.
Storage and Shelf Life: Because HBD is committed to
protecting your bird from artificial preservatives, we
suggest you smell this product for freshness prior to
feeding. Keep food fresh by squeezing all air out of the
bag and zipping the bag shut at the top. If zip lock gets
removed or damaged, fold top over several times and
clip shut with "chip clip" or clothes pin. Keep food in
original bag. Do not store food in plastic bags or food
containers. Refrigeration after opening may help
maintain freshness. Use food up within 4 - 6 weeks of
opening bag.
