1. Are the bars drilled or welded?

The Prevue Signature Cage line is unique in that it is robotically welded
with such precision that only 8 screws hold the play top and ladder. The
cage simply "plugs" together.

2. How large are the food dishes Click here?

3) Is there any type of lock that keeps the birds from picking up the food
dish and throwing it?

Yes -These 2 images show the empty cage crock holder. The easily remove
so you can choose where to have crock each or the three crocks
The other image illustrates the crock being retained by 6 mm cage
bar. With the ceramic crocks, I'll never say impossible (they're parrots)
but a large bird would have a truly tough time dumping these.

The crocks are accessible from the outside of the cage so others
can feed your bird

4) Is there a grill around the bottom so the birds can't crawl underneath to
the bottom tray where the poop is?

The one grille on the bottom is removable for easy cleaning. The cage has
two trays. One on the bottom and one on the top under the play top. The
bottom tray sits quite snugly under the bottom grille. It would be very
difficult for a bird to gain access to the tray area.
Some people remove the
top tray to allow more light into the top of the cage.

5) How are the seed skirts put together?

Posts on either end of each of the 4 skirt sections simply slip into square
sleeves welded onto the cage body

6) How large is the shipping box? Does it come in one or 2 boxes?

Box 1 - 67 lbs - 40.5 In Long x 38 In Wide x 4.75 In High
Box 2 - 88 lbs - 37.75 In Long x 31.5 In Wide x 12 In High
