I have two Quakers, one green one blue Zachary and Felix.

Zach is about 7 and Felix is a sweet 2 yr old.

They are in separate cages because Zachary has gotten very nasty and attacks little Felix.

Zach bites everything and everyone!

Felix loves me and nibbles but not to hurt.

How can I get Zach to stop the biting so I can get them together?

Hi,

I think your article on birds catching the covid-19 might be misleading.

Is there evidence of transmission from humans to birds for covid19?

I think it’s highly unlikely.

While these viruses can occasionally jump between distantly related species, it’s not common.

Short answer – yes.

Coronavirus is a zoonotic virus.

Coronavirus is a disease that began (we think) in a Chinese fish market that also sold wild animals.

Chinese people like to eat many wild animals and want to watch to make sure they are getting what they purchase. As a result, they can become contaminated by the animal’s blood in the markets they shop at.

I know many of us although concerned or tired of listening to the constant drone of news about the coronavirus.

Here are some articles we researched that will help you better understand the zoonotic relationship coronavirus has between you and your bird(s).

By the way, bleach is not an option to use around birds.

The vapors from chlorine bleach can cause irritation and even death in pet birds.
