Uses:Pet OwnersWe do not recommend that owners restrain their own bird. Pet birds can become distrustful of owners when handled this way; some birds forgive, others do not. All good parrot-owner relationships are totally dependent on trust. Pet bird owners can purchase them for their own birds and bring them along for their visits to the veterinarian and groomer. The AviStraint can be used by pet owners in the event of an emergency where restraint is necessary. Perfect to keep in your Bird First Aid Kit. Use it when your bird is being groomed. When your bird is examined by a veterinarian, request that she or he use the AviStraint to restrain your bird. Get one for your own bird and take it with you when you visit the veterinarian's office. Ask your veterinarian if s/he carries and uses the AviStraint.
VeterinariansUse the AviStraint for grooming, performing physical exams, and to restrain for phlebotomy. However, some clients may want to bring in their own birds' AviStraints. Offer them for sale to your clients, and recommend one for each of their birds to bring along when they visit your office.GroomersUse them when grooming birds.
